Autumn will be ushered in at the Haus der Kunst with the opening of the exhibition Markus Lüpertz: Über die Kunst zum Bild / Toward the Image through Art The exhibition focuses on Lüpertz’ early and later painting and conveys the degree to which his oeuvre is marked by a filmic view of the world.

Moreover, in Ich als Mensch / I As Human, with more than 200 works from all the creative phases of Miriam Cahn, Haus der Kunst is paying tribute to her oeuvre that extends over more than five decades. The show illustrates how this artist’s body of work contributes to the discussion about new images of bodies and human beings achieved through painting.

The exhibition At Night in the Sammlung Goetz at Haus der Kunst undertakes a nocturnal journey between dream and reality in 14 stations. On display are films, videos, installations and photographs from the Sammlung Goetz that mirror various facets of a nighttime stroll.

The exhibition Southeast Asia Performance Collection presents a selection of photographs, videos and archival materials from the pioneering Southeast Asia Performance Collection for the first time in Germany and explores the relationship between performativity and digital exchanges, networks and virtual preservation across Southeast Asia.
