Sound installation by Kalas Liebfried in resonance to Joseph Beuys followed by an artist talk.

Joseph Beuys’s The End of the 20th Century is a key artwork in the permanent collection of the Pinakothek der Moderne. The installation questions – in title, materiality and form – the meaning of nature in relation to society and the individual. Kalas Liebfried’s ambient sound performances fuse the visual perception of space with acoustic experience, creating atmospherically charged environments. Specifically developed for the site of “The End of the 20th Century,” the sound installation Ambient for a Silent Forest embraces the artistic legacy of Joseph Beuys and gives rise to a dynamic field of resonance.
