Panel discussion as part of the KARL & FABER Prize of the Foundation of the Academy of Fine Arts Munich 2019
It is a long way for young artists to achieve museum recognition. But how straightforward is it today? What are the current challenges? Was it easier as an artist in the past? What role, if any, do institutions or galleries play for young artists? And which sponsorships support the young scene the most? The panel attempts to shed light on these questions from as many perspectives as possible, even though it is clear that there can be no universal formula for art.
